Dinosaur Planet is a small amusement park located in the heart of Bangkok. This is not exactly Jurrasic Park or Jurrasic World but it is still a very entertaining and educational amusement park for all the family to enjoy.
Located on Sukhumvit Road 22, Dinosaur Planet cost 500 million Thai Baht to build (around US$13 million).
At the back of the park is a small walkway lined with some very real looking, moving dinosaurs. At the front of each dinosaur is a information plaque giving you the name and details of which period the dinosaur lived in.
Entrance fee into Dinosaur Planet is 600 Baht for Adults and Children (90cm - 140cm tall) 400 Baht. Children under 90cm get in for free.
Dinosaur Planet is open every day from 10am - 10pm.
To ride the ferris wheel costs an extra 200 Baht.
In the centre of the park is a large volcano. At night time there is The Great Volcano and The Extinction Live Show. Shows times are at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm.
The closest BTS Skytrain Station to Dinosaur Planet is Phrom Phong. It's around a 3 minute walk from the station.
