Tien Beach is the longest beach on Koh Larn, located on the west coast of the island, just a few minutes away from Samae Beach. There is no road access directly to the beach. Motorbike taxis and taxi vans stop at a parking lot and then there is a wooden walk way that travels around 300 meters along a rocky coast until you get to the beach.
One of the nicest things about Tien Beach is it is not covered in deck chairs and umbrellas so you can lay down your towel and actually lay on the soft white sandy beach.
There are roped off swimming sections along the beach so you can swim safely avoiding the many speedboats and jetskies that constantly buzz by.
There is no direct ferry access to Tien Beach. From Pattaya Port you can get the public ferry for 30 Baht which drops you off at the other side of the island at Na Baan Pier. From Na Baan Pier you can get on the back of a motorbike taxi to take you to Tien Beach for 50 Baht, the trip taking around 15 minutes.
Of you can get a round ferry trip from Pattaya Port to Samae Beach for 180 Baht. At Samae Beach there are always motorbike taxis waiting. A trip from Samae Beach to Tien Beach will only take a few minutes and should cost 30 - 40 baht, you will need to negotiate the price.
There is a good selection of hotels on Koh Samet to suit all budgets. With loads of quality beach resorts and other budget / backpacker style accommodation.
